Valentine's Day Activities for Seniors in Anchorage, AK

Valentine’s’ Day is just around the corner. For seniors, this is the time to focus on their special someone and spread the love. Anchorage home care experts recommend a few local happenings in the city for all seniors hoping to celebrate the Valentine season.

1. Unbound: Conflict in Romance

The Anchorage Museum at 625 C Street will be hosting a love-themed event on February 10th at 6pm. During this workshop, seniors can join the Alaska Romance Writers for literary experiments and heartfelt readings about unique topics, including historical romances. 2. A Fair of the Heart

The Alaska Regional Hospital at 2801 Debarr Road will be hosting a free health fair on February 11th from 8am to noon. Not the most romantic outing for Valentine’s Day, but perhaps one of the most important events seniors can take their sweetheart, friend, or even themselves to. During this health workshop, they can attend seminars, learn CPR, have their blood pressure taken, and get a free blood test to help detect health risks. Reservations aren’t required.

3. Valentine’s Dinner with Chef Shane

The charming South Restaurant and Coffeehouse at 11124 Old Seward Highway will be hosting a special dinner and wine pairing on February 14th at 6:30pm.
